Thank you for your interest in FRPI Laminate Specifications!
We currently offer thirty-six (36) standard Laminate Specifications that cover approximately eighty (80) percent of the applications in Industry. These specifications are organized into two (2) major groups, “Laminate Specifications by Resin Type” and “Laminate Specifications by Application”.
Currently there are nine (9) Resin Type categories, where surface veils and cure systems used in the laminate design further categorize each Resin Type. Currently there are three (3) Application categories, where each Application is further categorized by various design criteria. Each laminate design under both categories is given a Laminate Specification or “LS” number. LS numbers are in a logical sequence in order to reflect a particular category or subcategory that they fall under. All Laminate Specifications organized by Resin Type cover laminates manufactured by the hand lay-up, spray-up and/or filament winding processes.
Laminate Specifications are available at a discount to FRPI Members. To save more money, we suggest purchasing the Manual that contains all of the Laminate Specifications. Unfortunately Laminate Specifications are not available on CD at this time.
Laminate Specifications contain the requirements for Manufacturers to follow in order to obtain FRPI Certification for specific designs. FRPI will make additional Laminate Specifications available at the request of the Advisory Committee to the Executive Director.
